One-Stop Solution to Verify Voter Details 2019

The Election Commission (EC) of India has launched a 45-day-long mega voters verification programme 2019 across the country on 1st of September 2019 where voters can verify their data

The voters verification programme 2019 allows the voter to let the poll body know whether the data about him or her is correct. If not, they can correct or update wherever required. In this article, you will learn the details of the Electors Verification Programme, how to update voter ID details though EVP, add family member, and the objective of Voter ID EVP system.

How to Update Details in NVSP

To verify your data online, go to the NVSP website www.nvsp.in

And login with the Elector Photo Identity Card (EPIC) number.

In the login page, and provide a password and fill up a blank with a captcha shown there.

than click the ‘Electors Verification Programme’ it will take you to the page with four options. The first option here is to ‘Verify Self Details’. Select this option it will take you to the next page where your name, gender, age etc appears along with the ‘Verify My Details’ button.

Clicking the ‘Verify My Details’ button it will take you to the next page where all the personal details of you along with the passport-sized photograph will be appear on the screen.

Read all the data carefully and choose whether any change or correction is required or not. If no change is required then select the option ‘Information displayed above is correct’. It will lead you to an option where you have to upload a document in an image file.

The voter can submit any of the documents given below:

Aadhaar Card

PAN Card

Driving License

Indian Passport

Ration Card

Bank Passbook

Farmer’s Identity Card

Identity Card for Government/Semi Government officials

Smart Card issued by RGI under NPR

Latest water electricity, telephone, gas connection bill for that address, either in the name of the applicant or his/her immediate relation like parents.

You have to choose any one of the above-mentioned documents from a dropdown menu. If any change is required than Select the ‘The information displayed above needs correction’ option.

It will take you to a page where the columns you have to correct selected and corrected. You have to attach one of the documents mentioned above as proof to validate the necessity of the correction. After modifying upload the document ‘submit’ the online form.

In the voters verification programme 2019 campaign, you can also verify your family members by the EPIC number.

The offline method is also available. You can visit Common Service Centres or Voter Centres with the abovementioned documents and complete the procedure.
