Plying of Auto Rickshaws & E-rickshaws Allowed by Bihar Government
In Bihar, Plying of Auto Rickshaws & E-rickshaws Allowed. public mode of transportation i.e. auto rickshaw, e-rickshaw and private cabs has been resumed to ply on the basis of Odd Even rules which has effected from today. There should be certain conditions in the operation of public transport. The state transport department issued an order in this regard after a meeting held on the crisis of management department.
Also Auto rickshaws and e- rickshaws were allowed to play on roads following a rule of Odd and Even rule of registration basis. Only the driver with only two passengers can travel in a vehicle at a time. Private cabs can also be booked for transportation within district. For inter district travel would require the travel pass from district magistrate. People who return from other states can book private cabs in advance by booking online from railway station itself.
Auto rickshaws and e-rickshaws with the registration number ending with odd numbers will operate on
- Monday
- Wednesday
- Friday
While the even number numbers will ply on remaining days of the weeks.
Driver and the passengers both will have to wear masks and maintain social distancing norms while traveling. The vehicle owner will ensure that the vehicle is sanitized properly. Also the cycle rickshaw will be plying on the road as only one passenger is allowed to sit there.
Aggregators which are application based likely OLA & Uber will be allowed to run within the district having only two passengers at a time.

If there is a valid pass carried by a passenger issued by district magistrate then only inter district service will be allowed for special trains etc.
The fare of auto rickshaws & e-rickshaws as well as taxi for different route will be decided by the respective district magistrates.
