Covid crisis diminishes Durga Puja festival in Patna
 Corona outbreak has affected many festivals. Now The Durga Puja has also come under the shadow of this pandemic. The central, as well as the state government, has issued guidelines to avoid gathering in this festive season. District administration has issued notice not to build Pandal and not to install the idol of Goddess Durga. The administration is taking are a precautionary measure to stop the gathering of people in this puja.
 
Many places in Patna are famous for its Puja Pandal, Decoration, and Goddess Durga idols. These places attract the peoples of Patna the most. Some of these places are:
 
1.Dak banglow
2.Marufganj
3.Anandpuri
4.Kalibari
5.Kadamkuan
 
As covid-19 cases have started to decline from the peak, governments do not want to compromise with the corona battle. The state government has issued guidelines. Some of the key points are:-
 
1.Idol cannot be installed anywhere
2.Puja can only be organized at the temple or home
3.Cannot build a pandal
4.Distribution of Prasad is prohibited
5.Not to celebrate Garba or Dandia
6.Mask is mandatory
7.Organizers gave to provide sanitizers
 8.Not more than 100 people can gather in a Temple
 
So, this year we are not going to see Decorated Pandals, Fairs, Dandiya nights, etc. But the guidelines have allowed for Kalashsthapna. Every year peoples went to see Durga Puja in the city by visiting the pandals. Many fairs are also organized around the city. But, people can visit temples with a mask on their faces.
 
Many Puja related businesses are also going to be affected this year. This is a massive blow to the people whose businesses are engaging with the Durga Puja. Tent Houses, Decorators, Idol makers, food cart holders, etc are among them.
