Record Highest Packages placement in IIT Patna amid Corona.
At the time of this corona pandemic, placements sessions have started in IIT Patna. Many companies across the globe are participating in it. This IIT Patna have highest placement record. Considering the pandemic, these placements are happening virtually as students are at their homes.
Final year students, as well as pre-final year students, are participating in these placement sessions. Companies are recruiting final year candidates for a full-time job and internship recruitment for pre-final year students. All the placement interviews are taking place on a virtual platform. Recruiters and colleges are coordinating to make the placement process successful.
Companies are offering whopping packages to selected students. So far IT companies have shown a great amount of trust in the students of IIT-Patna. Companies like Microsoft, Google, CodeNation, Media Net, etc had participated so far in the session 2020-2021.Japanese company Rakuten has given offers to three M.Tech with package Rs 59 LPA. Microsoft has selected one student with Rs 40 LPA package. 4 students are selected by CodeNation for Rs 33.50 LPA package. Media Net hired 2 students with an Rs29.92 LPA package. Google has selected 4 pre-final year students for internship.
Data Scientist, Research analyst, Software engineer, graduate engineer trainee, Technology consultant, etc. are post offered to most of the students.
Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical engineering are the branches are more attracted to the recruiters
College knows the importance of placement in a student’s life. College is organizing webinars and training sessions to prepare for these placement sessions. The training and placement cell of IIT Patna is working efficiently; to make sure that every eligible student should get an offer. Placement cell conducts
personality development sessions for students to generate confidence among the student to face interviews.
In session 2019-20, 106 companies have offered 200 jobs to the B.Tech and M.Tech Students. Top recruiters are Infosys, Wipro, Cap Gemini, ZS Associates, Goldman Sachs, Rakuten, etc.

In recent years we have seen an increase in the number of companies visiting the campus for placement. There is also a hike in the highest package offered. Credit goes to the Professors, management, students, and training & placement cell.
