Patna Bihar: Schools to deliver textbooks to student home. Due to lockdown many schools are making arrangements to deliver textbook to their students’ home in Patna for the new academic session. Schools are taking help of the publication houses to ensure that studies are not affected due to the Coronavirus in Patna.
most of the school Students are yet to get the textbooks for the new academic session as school are closed because of the Coronavirus in India.
Rajiv Ranjan Sinha president of sahodaya (a group of CBSE-affiliated schools in Bihar), has asked its constituents to provide textbooks to the students at home. “the schools will have to arrange the passes form district administration office for their school buses for delivery of textbook to student’s homes”. Said at Patliputra Sahodaya Complex.
Rajiv Ranjan Sinha, said this to newspaper on Wednesday that all its schools have applied for the passes from the district administration office. “Doorstep delivery of books will be started after direction from the district administration office. “distribution of textbooks will be initiated in coordination with the textbook sellers only after the passes are issued,” he added.
principle of St Xavier’s High School Fr Christu Savarirajan, said that distribution of books will be a big challenge as we have more than 3,000 students from KG 1to X. “These students are scattered across Patna. But we have asked Ganga Sansar (book distributor) to deliver the books. as the school does not have its own transport at present”.
Gyan Ganga Limited, informed that his company delivered books for Bishop Scoot School and St. Joseph’s High School, Kankerbagh during the lockdown. “But, the Bihar government has put a stay on book delivery till April 20. We will start the home delivery of textbooks from April 21, he said.
“Almost all private schools have approach us for delivery of books. We have already printed the textbooks before lockdown which is in our storehouse.” Shakti Shing, vice-president of Gyan Ganga Limited also added.
Few schools have started online classes and providing online materials to ensure no loss of classes. But parents are concerned as they feel physical books are must. Because read the books on laptop, computer or mobile phones is not good for kids health.
