Luxury AC Buses Introduced between Patna and Jamshedpur
Patna – On Monday, full air-conditioned luxury buses were introduced by the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation (BSRTC) to travel between Patna to Jamshedpur.
The state transport secretary Sanjay Kumar Agarwal said, “The daily Volvo bus service will be connecting Patna and Jamshedpur making the long distance travel a world-class experience for its passengers,” meanwhile jointly launching the bus service along with GS Kang, vice-chairman of Bihar State Planning Board at Parivahan Bhawan on Monday.
This fully luxury night bus with 49-seater (2×2) is occupied with state-of-the-art amenities like CCTV cameras, inbuilt GPS tracking system, DVD players, mobile and laptop charging points, liquid crystal display screens with handbags and luggage cabins.
Buses have chemical toilets, pantry and Wi-Fi connectivity as well. The Bihar state transport secretary stated, “Two buses will be operated daily for Patna-Jamshedpur route where first one will commence its journey from Bankipur bus stand at 6:50 pm and second one from Jamshedpur bus stand on the same time. Both the buses will reach at 6:30 am in the morning.”
The department will increase the number of buses in the future based on the requirements of passengers. And passengers who want to travel from Patna to Jamshedpur and vice versa can book their tickets online via www.pathibharaparivahan.com where Rs. 1000 will be charged per head.
The transport secretary said, BSRTC will be operating the AC buses in public-private-partnership mode. Further, Agarwal added, “many steps have been taken by the department to launch bus services so as to connect Patna with the important cities of neighboring states.”
Moreover, department has decided to launch more luxury buses to run on daily basis on five more routes which include Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and West Bengal respectively by the end of this year.
Launching of these luxury buses will certainly going to change the entire scenario of state’s road transport. “During festival season, fare of air tickets goes up and getting a train ticket becomes nearly impossible.
At that time, these new luxury buses will be a boon for passengers as they have to depend less on trains and flights to reach their hometown like Jharkhand, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh,” as reported by Agarwal to this reporter.
