Coronavirus in Patna, Bihar Latest Updates: 6 new cases found
PATNA: 6 new cases were recorded in some closely packed populous areas of the city which aroused panic among the natives as Coronavirus in Patna, Bihar Latest Updates on April 27 (Monday).
Making the total count of covid-19 cases in the state capital 39 also counting the five who have recuperated.
Patna DM Kumar Ravi said that two were spotted in Machhali Gali at Raja Bazar on Monday. Whereas another man, a resident of Phulwarisharif was found positive for coronavirus.
Reports state that all the three people (2 from Machhali Gali Raja Bazar and one from Phulwarisharif ) are the housekeeping staff at Patna airport. And were also in contact with the Khajpura resident who was detected positive for coronavirus on April 25.As confirmed this man also worked at the Patna airport.
Along with this another 23 year old man who returned from Delhi on the 16th of march. Who was a resident of New Patliputra Colony near BPSC office on Bailey Road was covid-19 positive.
Moreover a 2 year old kid undergoing treatment at Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS)Patna was also reported positive.
Kumar Ravi also said that with regular increase in the number of cases in any area the number of containment zones will also increase accordingly. Meanwhile detection of new cases each day and increasing death toll has created a situation of havoc amongst the people.
A Raja Bazar resident prabhas said,”Machhli Gali is very close to my house. My family is quite worried following detection of coronavirus cases in the locality. Add to this the Corona virus positive cases recorded in Khajpura, which is also within 3 kilometre radius of my house, and the worries get bigger.”
A Patliputra resident Aditi Mishra who currently lives in Delhi said that she is worried about the health of her parents back home.
Ravi Kumar a resident at Rajvanshi Nagar said that detection of a positive covid-19 case near BPSC office has hit the emergency cord in the area.
“As a vegetable vendor has been tested positive, we have decided not to make any physical contact with vegetable vendors,” he said.
As the COVID-19 cases continues to increase in bihar, the health department announced 5 more hospitals reserved for COVID-19 Test in Bihar.
