A 37 year old man from Gaya Bihar, whose wife had just confirmed positive for COVID- 19, was also found to have the disease, taking the total number of cases in Bihar to 32, officials said on Saturday (4 April).
According to Gaya District Magistrate Abhishek Singh. The test reports of the man, who along with his wife was placed under quarantine center in Bihar at a hospital arrived on Friday night,
Sample of other family members of that man was also sent for examination, and the results of these turned out to be negative.
State Epidemiologist Ragini Mishra said samples of 2,291 people have been sent for examination. and 2,257 have tested negative.
Total 32 cases reported from the state so far, one person has died and four have recovered.
One 38-year-old Saif Ali, who returned from Qatar tested COVID-19 positive, died in All India Institute of Medical science Patna (AIIMS), on March 21, where he was undergoing treatment for a kidney ailment. Test reports, confirming that he was COVID-19 positive, arrived a day after his death.
