Mahaveer Park, The Bio Diversity Park in Jamui to open soon

The people of the Jamui district of Bihar will soon get the gift of the park. Mahavir Vatika Bio-diversity park in Jamui, built on 110 acres near Madhopur in the Chakai Block area, will now open for the common people soon.

 

This park is almost ready with 4 years of hard work in the forest department and district administration. Many types of forest, in which Rudra forest associated with Lord Shiva and an Ashoka Vatika connected with Sitaharan episode reminiscent of Ramayana period have been constructed.

Location

Mahavir biodiversity Park is situated at  National Highway 333 near Madhopur in Chakai block of Jamui district, 20 km before Deoghar in Jharkhand.

The Forest in Mahavir biodiversity park

Mahavir biodiversity park has a variety of forests besides the Ashok Vatika and Rudra forests, including carbon forest and fruit forest. Besides this, the most important number of 277 Kalpavriksha planted here. This will be the only park in the country where Kalpavriksha has planted.

 

There are hundreds of types of plants in which there are many rare species brought here from different parts of the country, which have many other properties besides medicinal properties.

 

Adorned with all these types of trees, this bar looks quite attractive from the point of view of environmental protection, as well as keeping tourism in mind. This park also has many things like boating, cafeteria, transportation center, children’s park, helipad, restaurants, etc.

 

Taking care of environmental protection and tourism, the Government of Bihar has constructed this park in which an amount of about Rs. 12.5 crore spend so far. As this park is built, people from other states besides Jharkhand and Bihar will also reach this park.

The purpose behind setting up Mahavir Vatika Bio-diversity park in Jamui is to preserve and promote endangered species. A better example of water conservation has also been shown in the park which will inspire water conservation to the people coming here. In the coming days, bamboo related crafts will also be promoted.
